Minutes
Supervisor Anthony Sinicropi called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Call To Order
with a Pledge to the Flag and a prayer led by Trustee Paul Dutton.
Members Present: Supervisor Anthony Sinicropi, Clerk Susan
Roll Call
Tomasek-Swan, Treasurer Carolyn Stevens, Trustee Erin Dutton
and Trustee Paul Dutton.

Scheduled Comments
David Wittkop, MMPA plant manger discussed the well testing. He stated
that the DEQ was happy with the results and the water from the well was
good. He reviewed the fact that MMPA had drilled the new deep wells of
the residents that were affected. The testing wells were still
being tested until DEQ is satisfied. If any residents have concerns
regarding their well they should contact their health department.
Christine Cooley asked about the notification of special meetings in
Public Comments
regards to the OMESA. She continue to ask questions regarding OMESA.
She expressed her displeasure with the board on their decisions.
Les Loynes asked about the water well testing.
Moved by Stevens, seconded by P. Dutton, to approve the agenda

Communications
Tomasek-Swan presented the board with the August bills that were
approved in July.
The F-65 report was presented.
The appraisal of the township hall was presented.
Tomasek-Swan and Sinicropi reported on their meeting with Mark Cooley.
Unfinished Business
Mark stated that if there was any conflict of interest between OMESA and
Middlebury Township board that he would not represent either party. He
continue by stating if the board felt uncomfortable or did not trust him then
the board should consider finding other legal council.
The board stated to John Tribfelner would be reimbursed for the concrete
used for repairing the older/broken headstones but he was salaried and
fixing headstones were considered part of his duties,
New Business
Sinicropi asked Deputy Supervisor Semans how the road work was going
on Dewey and Leland Roads. P.Dutton stated about needing money for
Baldwin and Hibbard Roads.
P. Dutton continued to discuss the brining of the roads and stated that
the roads may benefit from the double brining. The roads with double
brining over a course of 3 years will improve the road condition.
The topic of charging for a stillborn infant opening/closing was discussed.
Stillborn opening/closing fee
A motion was made by E. Dutton and seconded by Stevens to update the
cemetery schedule of fees to included no charge for the opening/closing
for residents and $150.00 for non-residents.

Supervisor Sinicropi read the township's attorney, Mark Cooley, letter of
resignation. E. Dutton, P. Dutton and Sinicropi expressed their regret.
Tomasek-Swan reported to the board that in the records there was no
evidence if the sexton is paid half of the opening/closing fees for cremation
burials.
P.Dutton made a motion to table the discussion until a survey of opening/

closing, plot cost, sexton's duties and pay, reimbursements, foundation and
transfer fees. The clerk would be given the job of collecting information.
The motion was seconded by Stevens.

P. Dutton made a motion to have Supervisor Sinicropi to take the FEMA

Stevens made a motion to approval e the tax rate. Seconded by Sinicropi.

Supervisor Sinicropi gave an estimate on the repair of the township hall
Township maintenance work, Doug Krebiehl wanted to look into the
total replacing the furnace. He also reviewed the sidewalk repair.
Furnace Estimate
Sinicropi made a motion to table repairing the furnace until Doug
Krebiehl has an estimate for a new furnace. E. Dutton seconded
the motion.

Stevens made a motion for the Maple Grove Cemetery Representatives
that Middlebury Township board does not feel Maple Grove Cemetery
needs to purchase more land.

NO: none CARRIED
Supervisor Sinicropi announced that Middlebury Township is the host
for the annual Shiawassee Chapter MTA dinner.
No one from the board was interested in attending the District meeting.
Final Comments
The meeting was adjourned at 9:45 p.m. Moved by E. Dutton and
ADJOURNED
