Regular Meeting

Supervisor Anthony Sinicropi called the meeting to order at 7:00pm
with a Pledge to the Flag and a prayer led by Trustee Paul Dutton.
Members Present: Supervisor, Anthony Sinicropi; Clerk, Susan
Tomasek-Swan; Treasurer, Carolyn Stevens; Trustees, Erin Dutton
and Paul Dutton
Guest Present: Nine guests were present. Among the guests
present were Deb Price, Pamela Drake, Tony Newman, Mike
Herendeen, Richard Semans, John Tribfelner.
Scheduled Comments:
Mike Herendeen presented to the board information of the Articles
of Incorporation from OMESA. He clarified the $5.00 per resident
appropriation was not in the the Article of Incorporation.
Tony Newman, Drain Commissioner, reviewed the drains that
would need work. He stated the drain on Maple River behind Nic's
needed work and there were complaints of one on Baldwin Rd.
Pamela Drake ,Burns Township resident, introduces herself as
running for 85th State Representative. She presented her
qualifications for the position and her desire for bipartisan in
solving issues.
Public Comment:
James Whitman approached the board for help in fixing the pot
holes in the private road of Snyder Drive. He wanted to know if
there is any grants available. He also wanted to know what would
need to happen for the county to take over maintaining the road.
General Business:
E. Dutton made a motion to approve the agenda with additions to
the scheduled comments and unfinished business. The motion was
seconded by P. Dutton.

P. Dutton made a motion to approve the March's minutes. The
motion was seconded by E. Dutton.

Sinicropi made a motion to accept the Treasurer's report. P. Dutton
seconded the motion.

P. Dutton made a motion to approve payment of the bills with
checks # 2569-2584 in an amount of $8,602.71. Tomasek-Swan
seconded the motion.

Communications:
Tomasek-Swan notified the board that Shirley Prikasky changed her
mind on selling the cemetery plots back to the township.
Unfinished Business:
Stevens offered the Resolution 2010-05 Assessing Records Access
Policy. The resolution was supported by Sinicropi. Roll call vote
was as followed: Tomasek-Swan-yes; E. Dutton-yes; Stevens-yes;
P. Dutton-yes; Sinicropi-yes.
Resolution adopted.
Reviewed the list of duties of the Sexton found in the old
Middlebury Township records. John expressed some concerns and
pointed out some issues with some of the duties.
Tomasek-Swan made a motion to table the adoption of sexton
duties until May's meeting. Sinicropi seconded the motion.

Sinicropi reviewed the list of road projects from the Shiawassee
Road Commission. There was a discussion of brush spraying and
adding to the brine quantity.
Sinicropi made a motion to approve the estimate for the road
projects with the addition of brush spraying and the second
application of brine for a total of $136,677.96. E. Dutton seconded
the motion.

New Business:
Carolyn made the motion to appoint Susan Tomasek-Swan, Clerk as
the Middlebury Township Freedom of Information Act coordinator.
P. Dutton seconded the motion.

P. Dutton offered to donate his lawn roller to the township in lieu of
renting and purchasing one.
Stevens made a motion to approve signing the contract for services
to Demis & Wenzlick for auditing services for the year. E. Dutton
seconded the motion.
All ayes
No nays Carried
Par-Plan nominations had no one from the board interested.
Final Comments:
Doug Krebiehl updated the board on the remodeling projects of the
township hall.

E. Dutton made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Sinicropi
seconded the motion.
